Benjamin Schwarz is awarded the DGG Zoeppritz Medal

We are extremely pleased to announce that WIT alumni Dr. Benjamin Schwarz is awarded this year's DGG (Deutsche Geophysikalische Gesellschaft) Zoeppritz Medal. The medal will be presented to him during the DGG's 79th annual meeting from 04.03. – 07.03.2019 in Braunschweig.
Benjamin received his diploma in Geophysics in August 2011 and his doctorate in June 2015 from the University of Hamburg, Germany. He is currently a DFG (German Research Society) Research Fellow in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford. His main research interests revolve around seismic diffraction imaging, velocity model building, and the interface between exploration and earthquake seismology using densely sampled active or passive acquisitions. He is currently a member of DGG, EAGE and SEG.
